The Wyoming Legislature has amended the state’s service contract law to allow motor vehicle service contract providers to offer paintless dent-removal and road hazard benefits. Prior to the passage of House Bill 90, Wyoming law considered contracts offering PDR-type benefits or tire and wheel / road hazard protection to constitute insurance. Now, under the new law which is effective July 1, 2010, such benefits may be offered by motor vehicle service contract providers either in conjunction with more traditional mechanical breakdown service contracts or as stand-alone contracts.
